Exactly. I've been swept up in offline MP games. I'm in the middle of TRINE 2 right now. It's an amazing 3-player co-op experience... couldn't imagine trying to play that without turning to my friend on the couch and pushing him for dropping a boulder on my head...
Gran Turismo 6 features adaptive tessalation. But that's on the PS3
I would love to be able to hook up my Airport Express to these and use them as an airplay device (for the bedroom or something). The iPod in the Altoids container is a little tacky, so I would definitely prefer to send music to it from my AppleTV or iPhone wirelessly.

This was more interesting when it was in the same "universe" as FF13 IMO. The last Crystal being based on the same mythology from FF13, just in the far future, made it seem grounded in modern times like FF7, but with all of the backstory of FF13 to act as legend.

They already do. Expect thousands if not millions of sales of XCOM for iOS that was just released...
Maybe not full Console-quality games, but there's nothing stopping them from making serious mobile games akin to AC3:L or U:GA. They may even be supplemental to the console experience (2nd screen, or Meta gameplay).
