Really liking the new kotaku content. Seems to be more content than just the usual game updates and screenshots.

I can see both sides to the gun control argument. Some say without them we will allow anyone and everyone to get ahold of deadly weapons and it will become catastrophic. The other claims gun control restricts every day people from protecting themselves appropriately and does nothing but set more limitations.
Been looking into the whole 3d printing craze... I really want to get in on this. The initial startup is just too high for me right now. For I am a lowly salesman.
I seriously thought that whale was a giant squid or some sort of Kraken. I wasn't really questioning it seeing as we actually have giant squids now and they were a "myth", now fact, originating in the same era this takes place in. I mean this is a series where they released DLC that made George Washington a monarch...…
That sounds amazing. You sure they can do this?
Am I the only one that finds these kinds of bites to be the very best? It is as if I am able to eat an entire bags worth of flavor on a single bite. Haven't been lucky enough to get a loco taco as loco as this one.
Wakka was in the first Kingdom hearts as a kid right? I never played through them just because I was sooo late to the game. I could really only get through the tutorials. Then I gave up. Will more than likely pick up the HD collection.
I think that playing through this on PS3/4 will remind me a lot of the old Champions of Norrath games. I have been wanting them to bring back that series for quite some time. It was the first game I had bought a multitap for, and the only one I actually used it for. I would at least like to see it come as a…
New layout is a bit of a change. I really do like the hovering comment box. Glad to see that the "blog view" style has returned.
Very rarely does the screen transition well to the larger size. Sure everything is there but it was designed to be inches away from. Not feet. Whenever I hook up to my TV even just to leisurely browse the web I need to sit so close to the TV that I feel as if I am looking at a giant laptop. Console games are built…
Doubtful all around. Just because of the way it was announced. Was pretty much an exclusive sort of release, being at a Sony conference for their next console. The wording they used, "partnership" isn't something you say with those circumstances witholding the competition.
Diablo and Diablo 2 did not have a REAL WORLD market, using REAL WORLD currency. So you can't compare Diablo 3 and the tactics they applied to any other game without that very situation.
If you look at the article linked above it clearly states their intentions when making it online only (Diablo). If I create an offline character saved to my computer and edit the save file to give myself crazy rare loot and lots of desirable items then take that character online to sell the items for real world…
Different reasons though. Diablo was online only to stop people from cheating on a character then taking it to the market to sell for real money. Maxis has their reasons they have stated. Also not all games are the same. Just because Uncharted has a long campaign and multiplayer doesn't mean Halo will.
First PC game I played as a kid was Starcraft. A friend let me borrow his copy. So I inevitably had to return that and went to EB games and tried to get a copy, they didn't have any. The guy behind the counter said SimCity 2000 was very similar so I picked it up. Nothing close to a space age RTS... but I ended up…
Well you can only continue to complain about one thing so far. They continue offering updates on the situation. Has been noticeably better than day 1. They have admitted their faults and have said they are working to get the game running smoothly. All you can complain about is why they don't talk about changing their…
I am sick of people claiming this DRM myth. Video games are always moving toward multiplayer. Every game is doing it. But in a game where you just run around a map and shoot people it is easy to transfer to single player. In a game where you have 16 cities all working together giving each other resources, students,…
When I was in middle school I was in a rocket competition that we qualified in the top 10 percentile nationwide. Ended up at 27th out of 100 participants. Long story short because we did so well that year we pooled all of our spare time and resources into the following year.
In August I went to Star Wars Celebration VI and they had the full demo being played live for us. It is most definitely a next gen game. They showed how much detail they had on things you may never actually see. It was running in real time and was beyond excellent. They also showed us some more story details in the…
I think the thing to take away from this video is that they didn't show the slimline PSOne. I think that if they made note to the trend that Sony is always revising their products we would all assume it is some sort of revision to either the PS3 or Vita. But by just making the landmark consoles the focus it soothes…
