On another note, since she's Canadian, I'm assuming her procedure is covered by their national health service? If she's successful, will she be taking that coverage away from others?

I support the rights of transgendered people and my instinct is to support them personally as well, but to be honest some of the explanations of transgenderism seem problematic to me. But, I'm opening to understanding.
