Exactly what I was complaining about. Some of the best looking cars out there are not available in the states as two door hatchbacks (or not available at all, as in the case of the VW scirocco). The Mazda 2, the two door fiesta, the Focus RS from a few years back, the list goes on and on..

When I first registered my Miata, I was debating getting a custom plate. I ended up not getting one, but candidates were: OPSTLCK, OPPOFTW, THESTIG, and DA STIG. Now there's even more reason to go with a Jalop plate. :D

Yeah, technically diesels go the way of the belt because they produce enough noise as it is (the injector clatter), so they want to reduce it (and weight) by using a belt instead. It's a ticking bomb though because diesels are all interference (because of the high compression). I've been so close to buying a TDI
