Basically The Thirteenth Floor, Simulacron-3 and Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s World on a Wire/Welt am Draht, but as a Minecraft mod.

Started my playthrough today (thank you, Xbox Game Pass!), died several times, loved every Groundhog Day-ish minute of it and can’t wait what the rest of this solar system has in store for me. So far, Outer Wilds is a wonderful game. <3

I have that book, too. It’s amazing. The design team behind the book, Melcher Media, also made “S.” by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst. Similiar to New York Collapse it has writing in the margins and stuff between the pages. It’s a fascinating physical experience.

To this day I’m convinced that Xur in Destiny is a hommage to the merchant in RE4. Just look at them:

Played the demo at Gamescom 2016. If the rest of the game is as good as the demo was, this should probably be an amazing experience.
