I honestly don’t know how this made it to air during kids shows.

Sadly, this is what happens when studios and media companies are run by investor-minded Wall Street types, MBAs, hedge fund managers, etc. Big entertainment in the US has always been run by ambitious, greedy types, but I get the impression that many of those (especially in the formative years) actually liked or even lo

All those things I said in my lengthy post don’t reflect my views.

That Dancey thought that his original post was in any way acceptable shows that he’s living in an extremely restricted bubble within a male-dominated industry.

As a MASSIVE fan of Spider-Man who has given past story arcs, runs, characters etc. far more grace and appreciation than some of them deserved, Wells’ run is one of the worst I’ve ever read. Nick Spencer spent his entire run gradually undoing both One More Day and Sins Past only for Wells to IMMEDIATELY unravel that

“Hey everyone! Let’s stop what we’re doing and let Bobby Kotick lecture us about morality and decency in business!”

yeah I mean I def ain’t losing no sleep over anyone at valve having a ‘tough time’

i know fans aren’t owed a conclusion, but i’m glad he posted it -- was enough to let me stop caring about getting an official ending

This should be illegal. Creating that much waste and probably having to pay close to nothing to dump it, thereby passing the true cost onto everyone else who has to deal with plastics in our food, medicine, water, etc. If you can’t accurately forecast the demand for these trinkets, then you should have to firesale

Raising the price of a game that’s been out for seven years is odd so it seems reasonable to write an article about it. Generally, the price of any given game goes down over time, not up.

Brown Bunny was both.

I can’t find the article I read, but a lot of these films were made by one guy in Ohio.

The scientific and medical community has a long history of unethical behavior when it comes to human remains.

Thanks for sharing. Every time a story like this comes out there will be people claiming that anyone who’s offended is being too PC etc. and it doesn’t matter because the guy is dead. But there are real relatives/survivors out there too and they matter.

Yeah, they MAY want to redo that image. If the person has an identity and there are living relatives, they could theoretically come back and sue Valve for it.

You’re not going to convince these folks. They literally don’t care about the theft involved, and they don’t even understand the underlying data collection well enough to understand that theft actually happened, and they don’t care to. It’s ALL strawmen about how we’re Luddites who don’t understand that the AIs are,

I am very thankful that no one protested the use of computers to generate art a few decades ago”

Exactly.

I agree IF, and only if, the AI in use is trained on artwork either created by the person using it, or informed, opt-in volunteers. That’s not how most of them work. Most datasets are trained from art scraped all around the internet.

We are a nation of idiots.
If the Pink Sauce and Ring of Fire concepts don’t prove it, the fight prank, showing the extent grown ass adults will go to scam their own childrens’ trust, is enough to remove all doubt this country deserves nothing.
