More than anything, this just isn't something that can be remade. I would compare it to the remake of Let The Right One In. Both films are as much about the places as the characters. The second you take the story out of those places, you lose an important aspect of the film.
Because they didn't want to risk living in Cabot Cove.
I bought tickets to a subtitled film at my old cinema and was asked if I was aware it was subtitled. I laughed and said that I was and asked what would happen if I said I wasn't; do people change their minds when they hear that?
I concur, Americans hate reading subtitles. The original was enough.

A more terrifying vehicle cannot be imagined, than the goblin truck from Maximum Overdrive

Nope they openly admit to picking that monstrosity as the theme song but have never really offered anything in the way of a proper explanation as to why they suddenly decided Star Trek was in dire need of a clichéd soft rock ballad.
I agree, aside from the theme song, the show was actually pretty good. I became burned out on DS9 and honestly couldn't stand Voyager. Those two shows just turned into everything bad and predictable with Trek while I thought Enterprise was done better. I thought Bakula did a great job as a captain. They could have…
Never heard about this until today. I'm definitely interested though. The most important thing is that at least one dinosaur is named Denver.
Apparently Shatterstar wasn't the only one who could move organs around.
Seriously. Reminds me of a bunch of early sci-fi stories I've read. Sure, it's 200 years in the future! And women AND men live on other planets! And everyone is super happy! And all the women are still secretaries. feh.
