It’s 30 years old, has some problems and I am not David Tracy.  ND.

I don’t hate it, I just don’t see myself ever being in the market for something that expensive and poorly adapted to drive on my local roads.

I like it. Okay, it needs a bit of work, but so do I and I’m a couple of years younger than it.  If I had the time and mechanical inclination I’d buy something like this and I can’t see it being cheaper at my local prices.  NP.

With that paint job and those wheels this is someone’s idea of an attention grabbing car, yet I can’t help but feel that engine is wasted in it, someone was obviously very proud of how loud a noise he could make when stationery. With that sort of upgrade you’d have thought there was some ambition to track it, but not

What happens in Vega, stains in Vegas.

On the plus side, there’s less urine and excrement than a regular subway, at least so far...

This car shares so many parts with my own car, my car might be 2 years older, but it is missing most of those miles, nobody has messed with it and it really is in good nick. No way would I get that price for it.

An SUV is when you call it an SUV and a crossover is when you call it a crossover, simple as that. If confused, take a look at what appears to count as a coupé.

The front end reminds me of 80's Japanese cars, but could easily belong to something aping that sort of clean, square style. I think the wheel arches might be a red herring having been cut away to fit those stupidly sized wheels. The rear quarterlight doesn’t seen to fit very well and everything behind the C pillar

Excuse me if I’m wrong, but I thought the entire point of driving a car in a tunnel was to rev the engine and see how much noise you could make. Using an electric car if kind of self-defeating.

Checked my local prices and I could get a 2012 model for that money, okay it’s not really comparing like for like but that’s a massive hike in price.

So are they going to start making cars now?

This is special in so many ways, but not in a way that makes me want to actually own it.

There is probably someone out there who needs this car in their life, to them it is a thing of perfect joy (although they might want to switch out that horrid exhaust), they will love and cherish this thing. They and this car deserve each other.

I’m not sure binning the Mazda and using a 24 year-old Honda is going to cut it for the first guy. I’d say bin the Mazda and the Honda and buy a second hand car that somewhere between the two, something you might want to drive but is still going to be reasonable useful at doing practical stuff.

Do I want someone else’s drag racing project? Not really.

Well, it was nearly half a second what I was driving 10 years ago, it’s over a second behind my current 12 year old car and it’s 2 seconds behind the current model of that car, despite costing more.

The biggest thing that has put me off the first generation car is the lackluster 0-60 time.  I know it’s not everything, I know the car was more about driving purity, but it would be nice if it could at least try to keep up with the last generation of hot hatches.

Unfortunately this would not work, racetracks need to be booked well in advance, the organisation for a full, spectated event is massive, as for street tracks, well that’s even worse.  Even if you booked the tracks and kept it a secret, there’s no way it wouldn’t leak out or get pried out of someone.

The way the F1 season has been thrown together, with a mix of the familiar and the unexpected has been the highlight of the season for me. Being able to adapt your car and your driving to a new track has to be a key skill for a top driver, one the F1 circus doesn’t have worry about too many time during the average
