Open Office does everything I want and need it to. Granted, I'm not a student or running a business. My kids work on their presentations in OO and have never told me of any problems at school with the generated documents, other than their content ;-)

@partysausage: I wanted Android from the Get-Go. I didn't want one company telling me what apps are 'approved' or what content is allowed!

@gearkraft: I actually installed Ubuntu by mistake. I was looking at it on a "Run from CD", and accidentally hit Install. It is by far the best mistake I've ever made.

@Apeiron001: Thanks for pointing out the Elite Minority. My wife's computer is VERY comparable to mine. She's got Windows and I have Ubuntu, I can reboot my system, on the R A R E occasions it's necessary, int the same time it takes her to close Excel.

Vote: YouSendIt.com

I had a friend who had her Identity stolen and she said she traced it to paypal. I have a 'rechargeable' debit card from a major department store, and that works just fine.

@geekymitch: And if you fly you don't need to change wallets, either

Just how is Win 7 and upgrade from Ubuntu? he he #windows7

I'm not on the gmail band wagon, so I didn't even notice that they were down other than the article on Lifehacker.

I will be moving from Kubuntu when it's released!

Well, for what it's worth My two parrots are WAY smaller than a wiener dog or a taco-bell dog. Of course, they're "companions", not "pets" :-)

Well, I guess this study was commissioned by Microsoft, and sponsored by their Blue Screen of Creativity??

Well, to make a long story short, I was gonna play with the desktop version, and "Accidentally" installed the whole thing..... I'll wait for y'all to stop laughing at me.... anyway, when I tried installing windows the install disk, ok 2 of them, kept cycling thru and not installing windows.
