I always throw a big rager for my birthday because as a kid I never had birthday parties. My mother thought they were a dumb waste of time. Now I overcompensate, but I do the planning and stuff myself and don’t expect, like, gifts or anything.

Up until my last birthday, I’ve always felt awkward planning things that center around myself. But for good ol 2-7, I sucked it up, told everyone to bring a bottle of wine and hang out. There are still details from that night creeping out 8 months later.

When I saw this, I thought I should share my story but didn’t because it’s so fucked up it’s almost unbelievable.

That pictures look sweet and innocent, but if we look at the Duggar timeline this was at the height of Josh Duggar Molestation Bonanza.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, I expect amazing celebrations for my birthday. But I orchestrate them myself because I’m a grown-ass adult. “No cards or gifts please: just come to my home and imbibe all this lovely alcohol I’ve purchased for all of us as we dance and karaoke and game.”

Perfect face. Perfect person for this. If he were accused of doing half the things to women that he has been to men - we here at Jezebel would be up in arms.

But some of them go into it because they LIKE hurting children. They like having power over someone weaker than they are. Some are pushed into. Colleges notoriously tell their weakest students to major in education. You move into administration because it’s better pay and fewer maddening rules and restrictions.

Even the high up administrators in schools (not so much with the districts) get paid pretty poorly, so go do something you actually like where you…

No. I know a lot of teachers, and they’re amazing people. Even the ones who have been doing it for a long time. Some people just start out shitty.

Sounds like that Principal could really benefit from a talk on respecting everyone regardless of differences.

I can’t believe how inappropriate the school has acted, and is continuing to act, by telling people the kid has “bad character.” Look in the fucking mirror, dickbags.
