I’ve put a lot of tokens in House of the Dead 2 in my time, that series is really fun in the arcade. I have a little brother so we played a lot of co-op games.

I don’t think I ever saw a Final Fight cabinet in Cleveland. I feel like the further you make it the more your willing to keep spending quarters to try and beat the game.

When I was a kid we would go to the mall, eat Chinese food and dad would take us to Alladin’s castle and we’d play games til we ran out of tokens.

The condition on some of these cards is so minor they may as well just print them as 3/2's

Awakening has multiple difficulty settings and also a mode where they don’t permanently die. So it’s plenty forgiving for new players as well.

I will say this, the proper Fire Emblem games have quite a bit more depth.

The somewhat amusing part is, being a person who rides a f*cking Dragon in to combat she could probably afford to wear less armor cuz Dragon is a pretty good meat shield.

I love all the attention Fire Emblem is getting because of this little release. It would be great if it folds over and gets some more sales for the series proper.

Amusingly I have played 3-4 different version of these Gacha games and was like “holy crap these are cheap by comparison.”

It’s also much more expensive and has way worse rates so I mean yeah if you want to spend 10x the money and time to get into the good stuff go ahead
