Forever grey, hope y'all will see this: Having been homeless, please let me attest to how very shitty it is to have your period and no supplies. Homeless teens have it even worse, because usually going to a shelter means someone calling CPS. For the first month, I had supplies I'd taken from home. The second month, I

I feel like these people were incredibly idiotic and insensitive because one thing that homelessness takes away is dignity in keeping your person clean. That guy on Instagram who gives people haircuts every weekend on the street in NYC really drives it in that many homeless people have no choice in their appearance

I try to make a monthly run to the dollar store and stock up on tampons, pads, shampoo, razors- all the basic cleanliness supplies. and then I take about 30-40 worth of that stuff to the local homeless resource shelter. Join me, people! It boosts your spirit and if a broke ass person like myself can put that money

I saw something about this on The Huffington Post the other day and haven't been able to stop thinking about it.

He broke his marriage vows. He left Aniston. The blame lies with him.

And by home wrecker, you of course mean Brad, right?

Hi! Chiming in to say that moral relativism fucking sucks. Not all academic thought agrees with you.

To be fair, can you imagine how many random people try to get in touch with Jennifer Aniston? We don't know the whole story, and I can see how easily an email or even a voicemail could be overlooked by an assistant or something.

Exactly. Aniston almost spells out that she was young, immature, and didn't appreciate the relationship for what it was. Why is this woman asking for more?

The quote just says he was her first love, nothing "wah wah now he is gone I miss him so much", like the widow is implying. So like... yeah.

It's not only OK, it's actually the moral thing to do. Fuck this culture nonsense. I have no problem judging oppression and harm done to other people in the name of "culture" and will continue to speak my mind about it regardless of whether or not it's socially normative on Jezebel or anywhere else.

Uh. Why? Culture isn't sacrosanct. It's an artifact created by human beings, nothing more. Like all creations of humans it will be full of a medley of terrible ideas and practices.

Actions done for any reason that cause harm to another human being without consent(you're kidding if you think that children can consent to

OMFG I read a whole article from some dipshit white lady about how, even though we find FGM disturbing, it's not our place to tell them what to do. Uhm, fuck yes it is our place. They're disfiguring girls and sentencing them to a possible life of pain and complications, all because of the idea that girls are 'impure'

Cultural practices, like anything in life, should be called in question CONSTANTLY. We don't move forward as a species by refusing to have the tough discussions about what in our societies is good/bad.

Culture should always take a back seat to the actual people who make up the culture.

Double fuck that shit when children are involved.

I have no qualms judging sexism, racism, homophobia and the like regardless of what culture the oppression is dressed up in.

This is how I knew my current male boss was one of the good ones: maybe four months into my job, my dog died suddenly. It was very sad and I was very upset. So I went to my boss to let him know and totally started SOBBING before I could even get any words out.

Horrifying, that's what. I can't even imagine it without wanting to spew. I suppose most people who are the target of that kind of scrutiny just have to pretend that it's not happening or they'd go absolutely fucking loopy in about a week.

you two have EXCELLENT taste
