So sick of hearing from wealthy people how irresponsible and unmotivated poor people are. The 1% have made this their mantra that its all the poor peoples own fault and its time to teach them all a lesson by taking away the poor peoples's cushy lifestyle of two or three part time jobs, no benefits, long public transit

The problem is that throwing the food away punishes the kid- who has no control over whether or not their parent makes the payment they're supposed to. It's not punishing the person actually responsible, so it's really not a fair consequence. And what happens to kids who have abusive or neglectful parents who don't

Oh my mother fucking god that someone would let a child have a hungry belly for a FEW DAYS to prove a point. That is flat out disgusting. No child should ever have to be hungry, they cannot provide for themselves or find a new parent or adult to do it if theirs cannot. They are helpless.

If you really think there are a lot of kids with money that are pulling a fast one over a two dollar lunch, and that is something we need to worry about......Well I don't even know what to say to that.

Think about who is punished, here.
(Hint.. it's the hungry children.)

Oh sure, there are lots of kids with bulging pockets full of money who endure the stigma of getting the free lunch just because they and their parents are being cheap. And a parent being disorganized is clearly a justifiable reason to let a kid have "an empty belly for a few days [emphasis mine]". Because a child

Jfyi these people call themselves pro-life and implore you to save the babies.

Actually, she should just remove the trap and clean it out. The trap is the curvy part of the drain under the sink. Usually, it's not that tight and easy to remove. But have a bucket handy. Not to catch water, but for you to puke in because that shit is gross.

I partially agree, if I were a man watching this I think it would be my gut instinct to get defensive and shut down... but this was made to highlight privilege and social hierarchy. Just like reading #SolidarityIsForWhiteWomen (as a white woman) made me a little uncomfortable and I could have started shouting back,

No it isn't.

Not at all. It is possible to be a heterosexual male, be confident in your sexuality, and not degrade women.

and domestication of women - is so much better? like we are "animals" and need to be "tamed" thats sort of degrading humiliation as well is it not.

I think castration is a way of implying taking away your sexual power/agency. I mean the whole thing about "blurred lines" is this notion that women want/need to be pushed and roughed up sexually, it implies a lack of agency and power. Castration sort of implies loosing your sexual power and agency. I'm just

That seems subjective, though, no? The original song has a lot of rapey lyrics, like "tear your ass in two" and things that, taken as a whole, perpetuate the general idea that women are sexualized things, not people. While castration would be extreme and awful, it's clearly a reaction to the original lyrics and ideas

Listen to the lyrics closely and you'll see that they address that what they are saying is inappropriate and ask the male how they like being treated like a woman is treated. I have no problem with this, since it's really exactly the same thing as saying in your song that you're going to tear a woman's ass in two.

Did you miss the line: "I apologize if you think my lines are crass, tell me how it feels to be verbally harassed..."

I believe that argument goes: "But all the other rapists are doing it!"

Also from the original article: "If religious leaders and heads of state can’t keep their pants on, with all they have to lose, why does society expect that members of other professions can be coerced into meeting this standard?"

"If the homosapiens were, in fact, homosapiens, is that why they're extinct?"

The best one is when Lindsay Lohan was doing the Debbie Downer sketch and EVERYONE fell apart.
