"The death of a teenager . . . "

Ok, I'll rephrase. "Democrats are passing laws preventing capitalism from accessing something that it needs for its personal wellbeing? Name one."

BZZT. The free market doesn't actually exist in healthcare.

Republicans are passing laws trying to outlaw abortion and limit womens' access to various healthcare services. Such laws negatively affect the lives of women.

Democrats have been passing laws trying to outlaw capitalism?

Seriously? You think that Martin just decided to murder this dude? This highschool student was out getting candy in his neighbourhood and just out-of-the-blue decided to beat some guy to death?

Brutally beaten eh?

Zimmerman stalked the kid and killed him, but there are people whining HE'S the victim. I mean, the gun kicked and won't anybody think of HIS pain?

You are clearly entitled to your own opinion.

Exactly. Funny Martin didn't deserve to stand his ground in some people's minds. Wasn't he also just defending himself from a guy who was tailing him and looking suspicious?

It only makes no sense if you assume the 17 year old buying skittles, with no history of violence, being followed and then approached by a strange man with a history of violence MUST be the aggressor, because he was Black and who in his right mind would be frightened by Zimmerman, who was armed and confrontational.

The only evidence given by anyone (who isn't GZ) who was privy to the thoughts or actions of either party during this situation indicates that Trayvon said "get off me" several times, clearly indicating that GZ initiated the physical aspect of the altercation.

Why don't you go give that advice to a women's self

Zimmerman admits to following Trayvon. He's on tape saying "Sh*t, he's running" - making it pretty clear that he chased in pursuit - of someone doing NOTHING WRONG other than fitting George Zimmerman's profile of what a troublemaker looks like. The kid was running away from him trying to AVOID confrontation while the

What narrative is there? He followed a young unarmed black teenager and killed him. Thats it, thats the story, all she wrote and then some.

I think this is an important point. People get so up in arms about Zimmerman's right to act a fool, but no one is talking about Trayvon's rights. His right to life. His right to walk from a corner store to a relative's house at whatever pace he chose — even though it was raining, and even though he was black. His

You do realize that this is the problem outlined in the daily show quote and OP which you replied to? That the hideousness of this situation lies in the fact that GZ's actions were legal. Nobody is arguing that they were not legal.

Since you support defend GZ's right to defend himself in the dangerous situation he not

Exactly. The evidence states that Zimmerman provoked a fight with someone sheerly on the dint of his own misguided hunch. Just what did he think he was doing, taking a gun to confront a dude on a darkened street? Fact: Zimmerman scared Martin when he started following him. Fact: Martin ran away to escape someone he

You say:

I suppose I might have to pose the question again, why does that self-defense not apply to Trayvon, having been approached and confronted by an armed man with no authority to police the area? I'm sure you know that the only person who communicated with either party during these events testified that she heard Trayvon

"As it stands we don't know who started the fight."
