Oh you 'understand' that do you? Because I have never heard that phrase uttered in a women's studies class and I also wonder why no one has released a recording of such a statement. I'm sure that if a whole bunch of women's studies lecturers were going around stating such things then we would have heard about it and

Wow, not only do you not understand basic critical thinking, but you also don't understand the basic formation of words. You got your ass handed to you several times and you walked away from this thinking that you won the argument and that I'm somehow left questioning myself? Lol. Oh gludge, you slay me.

Nice try.

Nice try.

No, because you see, I use something called critical thinking. I don't make illogical leaps between one issue and tie it to another completely unrelated issue. I've already given you plenty of examples as to why your logic is flawed, I've even tried to appeal to your empathy by using examples involving other groups

....and your response was as predicted.

I have trouble believing that anyone could be as obtuse as you are making yourself out to be.

'By your reasoning you shouldn't automatically assume she's honest, either.'

If you know nothing about her personally, then perhaps you should refrain from assuming she is 'putting on an act'.

You keep avoiding the point I am making so I am just going to ask this question directly:

How can you be sure if a soldier is suffering from PTSD? I highly doubt that when you read about a man suffering from a trauma he may have experienced (eg. war flashbacks, mugging, abuse) that you go around scrutinizing whether they are really struggling and if they are just putting on a show to get something from

You are quite callous if you think that people who have suffered trauma are 'just acting'.

Please, you're embarrassing yourself. You tried to use this very specific issue regarding victims' rights as some kind of argument to say 'well ladies, if you're gonna be so emotional about rape, then perhaps you're not so fit to serve in the military, or be a cop or doctor'.

Not even comparable. This isn't about men vs women as much as you would like it to be. A woman who meets the requirements of joining the military should be able to do so without being automatically disqualified purely because she is a woman. Same goes for a woman who meets the requirements to be a doctor, cop, etc.

There was a time when the majority of people wanted to deny women the right to vote.

You are missing the point which is that the religious swastika predates the Nazis use of it so it is not something which was hurtful/harmful from the get-go.

Actually, you'll find that there is a difference between the way in which the religious swastika is portrayed and the way in which the Nazi one is:

Denying same-sex couples the right to marry is a separate issue to the whole business owner thing. But if you want to talk about private business owners then let me ask you: if you believe that it is their right to deny same-sex couples service based on their faith, then do you also support their right to deny a

'And people of faith shouldn't be singled out and told that their morality is inferior and that they can't have and voice opinions on things. It's just as absurd when people of faith try to pushback against gay marriage by saying that you shouldn't force your opinion on them.'

'There's a commenter downthread comparing JR to a schoolyard bully who's victim commits suicide. As though schoolyard bullies who's victims commit suicide deserve to be held responsible for that. Can you imagine if that were really adults' response to those situations?'
