You guys should do a piece about the best Android apps that have already updated to the Materials Design. If you do, I suggest "CouchPotato Mobile" by ap_dev. It's an extremely niche app, but it's hands-down the best example of Materials Design I've seen so far.

What amazes me is just how close to the whole "Material Design" Mokriya was before Google even came out with that design. Granted, it has its differences, but it definitely maintains a similar look/feel.

A) which bumps the cost of the phone up by <$10 when there's plenty of customers who don't particularly care for that feature.

Where do you get that this iWatch is just going to be an iPod nano? It's definitely going to be more advanced than that...

Whatever environment you're in, you're either wrong, or it's not the environment that the majority of people live in. In the business world, it is rude to pull your phone out of your pocket in a meeting, conversation, even at a lot of restaurants (especially with a business acquaintance). Smartwatches are a great idea

Yep, I've dropped mine once and I was scared out of my mind until I picked it up. Dropped it from about waist height until concrete and it landed right on the corner and then flat on its front. Luckily, it just scraped up the side quite a bit without even scratching the screen...

Meh, just root it and load AOSP xD. The battery life on the Notes is tempting, but for me the absolute "no" factors are hardkeys and the phablet breed. I can't do a phone that big, and I hate that Samsung is still serious about having that damn button structure.

Are there any phones that hit 5-6+ hours on-screen (while still being smartphones)?

That's not what I said, I said those other devices will do an awesome job of extending the battery of your device, because they'll limit your need to actually use the screen and the full-feature of the phone since all you need at that point is something quick in a lot of cases.

The fact that iPhone has similar battery life to most other phones with 700mAh less available battery goes to show that it's more about the manufacturer's ability to optimize power usage than it is about battery size. That was my point. I didn't say AMOLED gets such great battery, I simply stated that the Moto Display

Until we change technology or make passive charging a thing, this is just never going to happen. I don't mind plugging my phone in every night, but I just wish that there was technology that took advantage of all the times when kinetic energy is being expended (walking, driving, etc are all times with a piezo-electric

There may be a *tiny* bit of irony in the fact that Ford is literally the big boys to Lincoln (Ford owns Lincoln). But I definitely saw the same message.

I bet it would at least help some. I've seen plenty of articles about just using a very small piece of wax paper to help diffuse the light from these LEDs. I'll bet that there's going to be some trick to make this work better.

That's too mainstream. I think I'll call mine "Andrew", especially in the wake of Robin William's death.

You have to understand though that actual battery size =/= battery life when comparing very different devices. AMOLED screen means that darker screens won't use the same amount of power, since the backlighting works different. The Nexus 5 uses an IPS screen, which means that if the screen is on, the entire backlight

... ACROSS!

You misunderstood.

ZING!

The manufacturers need to just make a system where the videos and pictures get uploaded to their own cloud (or work with somebody like Dropbox or Google Drive) and then removed from the device (with settings to say how long or an option to keep certain videos/pictures on the device permanently).

OK, first of all: This is awesome. Like, ridiculously brilliant idea and probably one of those things that every other manufacturer's CEO had an immediate meeting with their top employees and screamed about why they weren't developing something like this yet. This is the wearable worth owning, albeit maybe once they
