Amen!
Amen!
I get that, but you're trying to make that happen through coercion. What happens when the company that built the line (the one you're accusing of being monopolistic), says no because they have the business they want and the profits they earned (by being the only one to build what they've built). Do you then support…
My big complaint is the lack of features in stock ROMs that have been standard in custom ROMs forever! For example: When I pull down the notification shade and there are no notifications, it should default to the QuickSettings instead. That's such a huge problem to me that I may never go back to stock (I was using…
It wasn't Google's decision. Adobe made the call to longer produce Flash for mobile devices. Google's push has been to get rid of Flash altogether.
Better yet: The government could just not be involved in the market and there wouldn't be any unnecessary costs... But we can't have any of that in the world!
I did read your entire comment. Doesn't change a thing. A company shouldn't be forced to hand off their hardware/software/personnel/supplies to some other business. If they're WILLING to do it, that's another topic, but there should never be a legal requirement that they do so.
That's a possibility, but you also have to take into account that what Google ultimately wants from you is your statistics. Everything about you, including what sites you browse, when you browse them, for how long, where you are when you browse said sites, etc. There's really no limit to the data they want from you.
Why would any company agree to this? If I go through all the labor and time to build a high-speed internet network in [name a place], and now I'm trying to recoup my [name a price investment, why should I be forced to let Comcast pull customers from my network? If I have the infrastructure to manage their internet…
How?
The thing is, like Brianorca said, as long as you're using strong enough SSL/HTTPS encryption, you aren't giving FaceAzonSoftGle any of your data. They want this because they want to control the connections that ultimately lead to their servers and data. By having some hold over these lines (and having the capability…
healthcare.gov was built by a company who got the contract without having to bid for it, so this argument gets completely shot down. While you're correct that many government contracts go to the lowest bidders, they're usually WAY over the price that it would actually cost to produce still, because there will be…
I agree, and I'm not saying it's right for them to have such an insane hold on their users. However, it behooves users to keep in mind that practically nothing in this world is free. So many people fail to understand just how much information is farmed from our day-to-day actions and used to gain a better grasp of…
Google would catch a ton of flack from app developers if they gave users a simple way to block apps on a per-permission level. The whole point of a number of free apps is to make money through advertising or by gathering information so they can stay ahead of their competition (location data would help apps like…
That sandbox is how XPrivacy (the Xposed Module that does the same the AppOps does but with less chance of breaking any applications). XPrivacy feeds apps blank or randomized data instead of just no return. This makes it so that the app doesn't realize it's been locked out of the device's sensors or permissions, but…
I don't mind the commercials, but what pisses me off to no end is the pop-up banner that decides to pop up right at around 10 seconds into a video... I'll have none of that. Also, with youtube's stated goal of allowing subscription-based channels, this problem will more than likely sort itself out for those content…
Ok, so is it possible for this barge to sell things duty-free while they're in international waters, and then ride them back to the docks and let them on their marry way?
... I love you... and I don't even know you!
You don't suffer those when you buy duty-free though, do you?
They should drive it out into international waters before anyone buys anything... Isn't stuff tax-free (kinda like buying things "duty-free" on planes and at international airports)?
Yes, sorry for not being more clear. xda-developers.com is the site. On the top, select forum, and then search through for your specific phone version. It might me a bit of trouble, but rooting your phone and installing customing "roms" (variants of your phone created by developers/users) is a great way to increase…
