As a lifetime gamer I have to say, I don't understand watching video game streams either. ANYTIME I could be watching streams, I could instead be playing games. Console quality games on cell phones make streams even less relevant than I originally thought. Using the professional sports analogy doesn't work here…

Flawed argument. These games are produced in like 6 months, then spend a couple months in QA, and a couple more in manufacturing. It's on last gem console only because it's cheap and easy (engine is done, it's quite literally plugging in new art assets) and the install base nets more sales.
