That is a very charitable interpretation. Activision didn’t interpret this as a threat. It was 100% a threat intended to strong arm Acti. Good for them that they didn’t give in.

So, NetEase was threatening and blackmailing Acti-Blizz, using their connections to the Chinese government? Sounds like pulling out of China was the smart move.

Sorry, Kotaku just told me last week that board games are bad for the environment so....

As expected, Kotaku is having it both ways. Call everyone who bought it a transphobe while at the same time making money off the clicks with articles about the game. I’m not mad. Or disappointed really, this has been par for the course since the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle that sites like Kotaku started. But aren’t

This actually touches on an interesting point. Who decides when something is or isn’t racist/sexist/anti-Semitic etc etc? This actress might not think so but clearly other people did. So then what clinches it?

I hope they lose the silly cartoony aesthetic.

I have since seen the rest and I can confidently say that the other two thirds of Andor is maybe the best Star Wars content I have ever seen. But the first three episodes remain utterly boring tripe.

Aww, you think I have talent?

Couldn’t resist the clicks huh? So in effect, you are now making money off a product that supports a ‘virulent transphobe’. Bringing attention to the product, causing sales. If everyone who buys it supports her, aren’t your actions even worse?

If you’re going to do a video instead of write, the least you could do is have a functional videoplayer.

Normally I can separate the commerce from the authors 0n the website. But with the absolute campaign of disdain Kotaku and sistersites have waged against Rowling for years now this feels like either they were stabbed in the back or all of the criticisms were disengenuous to begin with. I guess Y’all are fine with

He’s a pretty great director and I’ve got a lot of faith in him making a good star wars movie, assuming he doesn’t have to play in existing continuity. Rian clearly doesn’t do well when forced to iterate on existing characters, but shines when he makes something new.

It is beyond horrifying to me that so many people tune in to watch the whinefest of one of the most privileged families on the planet. And before you whine about Meghan, her father is an Emmy award winning director and she interned at fucking embassies.

Of all the issues with this movie, Arnold and Linda were not one of them. The fact he thinks that shows how little he understands what went wrong.

This furry shit is everywhere. As if infesting Pokemon with your disgusting lifestyle wasn’t enough. Stop lusting after animals! Christ...

A nasty one.

So glad I didn’t pre-order... the starters get shittier every generation. Why are those first evo’s usually fantastic and the final evo’s always furry bait these days?

Ending it after season one would have been perfect. Ending it after season 3 would have made a pretty decent show too. But after season 4 set up season 5 like that... to cancel it now feels shitty. What is it with HBO and garbage endings now?

As have the volume of sales. I see this argument all the time and gaming has never been more profitable. With micro transactions, predatory dlc practices and the sheer volume of sales they more then offset the price staying the same.

So, a pro-lifer who voted for this nonsense was then confronted with the consequences of her actions. And it sucks, absolutely. Welcome to the world you helped create. I’m glad she survived and I really, really wonder if this will open her eyes. That’s what’s missing here, a final question. “Are you now for abortion?”
