What is sad is that people will get in a tizzy about whatever new Halo game comes out just because it is Halo, but when the guys who INVENTED Halo come out with a new game it suddenly doesn't matter because it is not Halo and not exclusive to some console or another.

I'd say it's a straight PC, it has open hardware and software, rather then canned in pre package.

I hate that word. It has become some stupid marketing word for zero added value. In reality that offloading of processing is more like what you get in MMO's, just core mechanics, not the heavy graphics.

Don't be put-off. It's exactly how this documentary, which celebrates the game and its players, puts it, in telling the great story about how a game that was meant for friendly couch play became a great game in the competitive scene.

Which is one of many reasons (regardless of the obscene amount of time it takes) why they should have chosen to make the Warcraft movie using the same CG Animation. Nothing live action will look even remotely as brilliant.

The only reason you haven't seen many games exceed 10GB this gen is because most devs were targeting a single dvd on the 360. Most PS3 exclusives greatly exceed that size, same for PC games. If the 360 had shipped with a higher capacity disc you would have seen plenty of games using a lot more space.
