I first heard this theory in a David Sedaris audio book and at the time I was too young to really understand that eventually I would turn off a burner or two. I’ve turned off my family. I don’t mean that I don’t speak to my family anymore, I do and we’re freakishly close, but I have chosen not to create a new family.

I wear dresses, skirts and high heels. I am too short for flats and absolutely loath the dress pant. So I live in dresses. At a new job it usually takes about a month for someone to comment or ask if I ever wear pants and the answer is no, but if I don’t wear a casual dress on Fridays I’ll sometimes wear jeans. All my

I didn’t at my first two jobs, but my second two I did. Most recently I did and cited my years of experience, education, and familiarity with the system I was going into. They came up $9,000. I almost didn’t, but then I realized it wouldn’t hurt to ask. The worst they could say is no. I also had a range to work with

CeraVe if you have heavy duty dryness it’s where I’d spend my money. It’s not for everyday, for everyday I go with my Pond’s, but CeraVe for a temporary treatment really and then you can go back to your normal one for a while till it gets bad again or Spring.

My skin is dry as any desert, I have scales, and I’m a firm believer in CeraVe or Cetaphil also Pond’s has a super heavy moisturizer that you can get a huge tub of for $5. I like the old standbys and they really work.

Me too! I’m read too quickly usually. Goodreads is perfect however because you can start discussing as soon as your done, no waiting. I’m in an in-person book club right now and I’m just not feeling it even though I love everyone in it...

I was just talking to a co-worker about this. Because we get infinite sick days basically (1 a month and you accrue them) but some co-workers seem to ALWAYS be sick. I have over 4 weeks of sick time because I’m rarely sick. I’m a terrible person for judging them aren’t I...I just feel like they stay home at the touch

They just released the smaller $20 versions here in the states. The Edit palette has 6 for $80 I know people are complaining that they’re too small, but I feel it may be worth it...I’m indecisive and am only allowed myself to buy two holiday releases this year so have to decide between Edit, one of the Tarte ones and

Yep! I always buy the $10 travel size because it lasts just as long and is excellent!

I use about the size of a sewing pin head for both eyes. I start at my brows and work down and if it’s too much then I smear a little under my eyes to help my concealer stay. You want a really thin layer, if applied too thickly it has the opposite effect. I want enough to layer my lid but not much more. Afterwards I

Use rubbing alcohol or a setting spray to wet it and press it back into place and let dry open for a day or two.

Ooooh I’ve been wanting some of the ambient light powders forever! I keep getting tempted by the Edit palette.

I love the NARS Translucent Crystal for my setting powder. I usually just set under my eyes but it’s so gorgeous. They have it in loose and pressed, I like the pressed but hear both work the same. It’s super pricey but I think worth it.

I love the IT Cosmetics CC Cream, it’s very full coverage for a CC Cream. The Illumination one looks like it has microglitter in it- but you can’t see it on your face it just gives your a pretty glow. I mix it with the regular CC Cream and love the glow!

I love the Tarte Park Avenue Princess, I have it in two of my Tarte Palettes and love it. I’m a Matte bronzer kinda gal and I feel like it’s perfect for my skin. My mother is a horrible enabler when it comes to makeup, she always says “well you deserve right?” and the answer is always yes.

I have probably 30 brushes and on any given day I use at least 9. I clean monthly with Dr. Bronners Tea Tree soap, but clean weekly with makeup wipes and daily with a clean towel. I should clean them more...

This weekend I did some super fun party makeup!

A gold bracelet and gold earrings definitely. I’d totally go with a fun clutch too but have gold hardware so it ties back in. Love the dress!

She wanted to ship them off to boarding school!

Thanks! I appreciate what you’ve said. I’m a 30 year old career girl and currently have no desires or plans to have children. Unfortunately I had to get married first to discover I didn’t want children which was very unfair to my husband because prior we were on the same page with wanting them eventually (divorced
