No. If someone bought me a Playstation 4 for Christmas, I wouldn't want it to be already opened and set up for me. Part of the charm of new hardware is taking it out of the box, basking in that "new tech smell" and whatnot. I don't want a used Playstation 4. I want one that is brand spanking new.

Also, if you want to disassociate sports with schools, why not do the same for music programs, or arts programs while we're at it? Those are all extracurricular activities that could be trimmed from schools budgets.

Athletes and coaches are not the same thing. Just because you play a sport doesn't mean you are qualified to coach it.
