You haven't been able to escape it because she keeps proving it to be the case OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.

The thought that there would be less clothing never seem to cross any of their minds.

So we will all dress like the Munchkins? Ok, I'm down with that.

It also troubles me immensely when someone of a privileged group romanticizes membership in a marginalized group. It usually occurs in those who misguidedly believe that just being black or gay or whatever automatically makes a person different and therefore interesting. And if there was any room for doubt, yes, I'm

I lost ALL respect for Scarlett Johannson since she sided with an oppressive Israeli apartheid state for a stupid endorsement and her comments that criticizing Woody Allen for alleged sexual abuse was "irresponsible" . So much garbage comes out of this woman's mouth, I'm done with her.

I generally make a point of never having much of an opinion about celebrities, but I really, really dislike Scarlett Johansson. I remember reading a profile years ago in Vogue when she described this "new phrase" she'd heard (this may be verbatim, so firmly was it etched in my memory): "Idiot wind. It's what comes

So basically Lena Dunham is sad that she never has to face the discrimination and horrible bias that so many members of the LGBTQ community experience daily? Wow, I feel so sorry for you, poor little straight girl.

I have always felt a strong and emotional connection to members of the LGBTQ community. It was actually a huge disappointment for me, when I came of age and realized that I was sexually attracted to men. So when my sister came out, Ithought, Thank God, someone in this family can truly represent my passions and

She wasn't born famous and fame doesn't erase the fact that she is Black and that she is a woman.

Sorry, Jezebel commenters, that Beyonce is not worthy enough of espousing such feminist tenets like posting videos of rapes; putting bounties on magazine photo shoots or; framing M&M commercials as examples of rape culture.

I really don't understand the vitriol towards her speaking up about feminism in general, but can you please explain how calling her tour the Mrs. Carter Tour is anti-feminist?

When it comes to helping feminism reach a wide audience (people who otherwise might never encounter these ideas), nobody could do it better than somebody like Beyonce. It's awesome that she uses her fame as a platform to talk about feminism.

People are SO EAGER to tear her down. It's pretty gross.

You mean she's imperfect and/or doesn't do feminism in exactly the way you'd like her to?!?!?!! Yes, by all means, let's tear her to shreds, that's certainly the right and pragmatic thing to do here.

People talk about her ravenous fans but her haters are just as voracious.

Well, you should be "on the feminist train" because you believe in feminism, not because a celebrity is embracing the word. That said, is it really productive to diminish someone's journey into feminism when they're clearly doing what they can to educate themselves and come to their own understanding about equality?

attitude like this is what perpetuates negativity. It pushes women to keep their opinions themselves. No where did I read that she thinks she's the only one talking about feminism. What I did read is that she's happy to be stimulating the conversation and helping to bring awareness. Slow your roll and be a little more

Is that snark? I'm genuinely glad there's someone out there with massive celebrity who's identifying as a feminist, calling out sexism, and giving someone like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie a platform.

Yeah, one of racism's favorite cloaks is "satire".

White guy appropriates/exploits minority identity for profit? Sounds like business as usual to me.
