I've been trying to emote socialism for the past few minutes. I got the sickle down, I think, but the hammer is painful on the facial muscles.

Shorter Boehner: "It's all about mememe!"
Underwiring not yet in existence/fashion. Can you imagine?
Agreed, it's a terrible position to be in.
Fact is, from the majority of drugs it's completely unknown whether they are a danger to the fetus. There is no ethical way to do the research, so pharma will forever say either 'consult your doctor' or 'not to be taken when pregnant'. Better safe than sorry, they think, and also less lawsuit potential.
One lady, 32-year-old Amanda Kimbrough [..] did meth (she claims only once, whatever) which caused her son [...] to be born 15 weeks premature.
That's not true. Rape is not just defined as 'seized by force' - that definition is archaic and entirely too narrow (even the FBI thinks so). Legally speaking, the definition is broader, quite commonly including language like 'without explicit consent' or 'under duress'.
I'm quite frustrated right now. Apart from the legal standards, I feel there's a moral double standard going on here. Let me try to tease it out. To do that, I'll follow you and assume that it wasn't malicious on his part. I also follow you and grant that she is responsible for 'adult' behavior that was a factor in…
I read through the whole thread and I'm honestly interested.
Problem with the whole affair, and viewing it this way, is that it puts the onus squarely on the 14-year old to make it clear her 'no' or 'I'm not sure' is unambiguous. It's a lense that has to go. Everybody is talking about whether she explicitly consented, but did anyone ever ask whether the guy explicitly asked for…
I read it after watching series one and the fact that they changed the way the wedding night played out made me incredibly uncomfortable, because I couldn´t see why - except to play up the sex/violence angle - and it made the love development so much more unlikely.
Non Khal Drogo? Really? The first two straight-up rapes of Daenerys didn't really make me think he was not awful*. And the way that second one was shot... It made the graphicness of that scene completely gratuitous to me. It's highly uncomfortable to watch all together, but the camera was drawn to Daenerys' body…
Then again, so did you. That's what I pointed out. Look, I agree that it's not entirely worthy of applause, but I sympathize with her. And I don't agree that the only fact of importance to measure her actions against is that she's a police officer, which is how I read your post. So I think your judgment is overly…
That's quite the strawman you're erecting there.
"Encouraging harrassment." Because she totally encouraged people sending her penis pics. Oh wait, that's not what you meant!
I don't have kids, but I spend a lot of time with my siblings and theirs, and when you start paying attention it's incredible how many tiny little differences there are in the general treatment of boys and girls, and how they add up. Not just toys and what is expected of them in play, but also labels, clothes, colors,…
I'm not sure whether it's 'natural' differences (as in, nature). I noticed that the real differences between the two kids - face pulling etc - only start showing up around the three/four-year mark, which is also the time the boy/girl difference starts to matter to kids (IIRC). Before that, they're strikingly similar.

They won't, unless content is flagged. They completely rely on users to monitor content. They've got good reasons for it, too.
I agree it's censorship. It just doesn't have anything to do with the first amendment.
