I should have also mentioned that you missed one Máté.

This is not true - it has never been true - despite the number of times it has been repeated as gospel.

The real story is Ferrari can hold onto the car and it will deliver it to the circuit for you and send along a support team, but in the case of the Ferrari FXX or the 599XX or the newer FXXK you are also free to take

There are at least 50 P1 GTRs being built - I’ve heard a number as high as 52. Not certain just how many will be converted for road use, but I would expect that it will be quite a few if not a majority.

Also they have made an exception for at least one person who did not purchase a McLaren P1 to purchase a P1 GTR. His

I am a proud “Well, actually...” asshole.

If I’m wrong, I want someone to tell me - that way I can learn something new. The fact that some people can’t be similarly reasonable about this is their problem, not mine.

This is correct, but neither were original to the car.

The fourth owner had a private firm in the UK remove the High Downforce Kit and then subsequently sold the car back to its third owner.

The MSO 2010 update for the F1 was a poorly conceived hoax.

Should have ditched all the gizmos and made it a targa panel - perhaps split in two like the CGT/918 - that was removed manually and stowed in the trunk, and then allowed the rear window to roll down as it does.

Weight is the enemy of FUN in a car like this and FUN is the only reason to buy it.

The driver who set the 1:27.00 lap time in the P1 GTR is neither a professional, nor is he experienced at running around Laguna Seca, with this event being his first time seeing the track. He thinks with more practice he could find another second, at least. In the hands of someone who drives professionally, like Randy

Kenny Brack was the driver behind the wheel for this near miss at Laguna Seca.

This was my thought as well - I’d like to hear from one of the clappers as there’s got to be more to the story about how this went down, and if the whole plane was aware you can almost bet it wasn’t a peaceful discussion before they exited the plane.

Track map livery that was used on the pre-production P1 road cars.

Or you could do what McLaren have done with some of their prototypes and pre-production mules. Strip them bare, then rebuild them with production parts and Step 3: Profit

Both cars are owned by the same individual in the USA too.

RS wheels were superficially damaged in the accident and before the car left his house for the bodyshop he swapped over to the FiST wheels he also has. RS wheels have since been repaired with the extra funds.

See my reply to the original question.

Car had already been at the bodyshop for several weeks. He thought he was headed there that afternoon to get a complete breakdown of the estimate but instead found that they had already fixed his car.

Pretty certain the RS wheels have already been repaired with some of the left over funds.

Space-X has been able to do this for quite a while. What they have not been able to do is get their launch vehicle to land safely on a barge floating miles off shore out in the ocean. It’s exactly like trying to hit a moving target, so quite a bit more difficult.

You caught my favorite view of Hwy 33 around the 4:07 mark. I stopped and took this pic once, which I later used to make a fake MINI ad. :-)

Not accurate.
