What?!? “Grounded to the Ground!” was such a GREAT ad!

This deserves more stars.

I have a “Libertarian” friend who used “SJW” as a mocking slur, once I learned that it meant “Social Justice Warrior” I was just like, uh, yeah, how is that a bad thing?

Nice! I haven’t shopped around, I didn’t think you could get a full size with a diesel for under $54k. I just went to the Dodge/Ram site and yep, you sure can.

HA! I see you did the exact thing I did: go to the inflation calculator website and see what $34k in 1999 is today. I was actually surprised that it was $54k but, yeah, $54k for a diesel, manual, F250 extended cab still seems like a bargain compared to today’s trucks.

I’m curious how you were able to make the distinction between “illegally towed” and simply “stolen”.

And there are those of us that are now not counted as “unemployed” because we are ”not in the labor force” because we’ve stopped looking for work while our kids aren’t in school and our spouse has a better paying job.

This is a good take.

I swear the vast majority of car fires I’ve seen were Chryslers.

Agreed. I have an ‘05 Toyota Matrix and an ‘05 Chevy Express, they are both delightfully simple and straightforward to work on (and I’m definitely in denial about them being 15 years old). I’ll bet the 2020 Express is about the same now since Chevy has done basically nothing to update it other than a new transmission.

And ask Enron employees how they liked all of their bonuses and retirement in Enron stock...

Damn. Your mileage is atrocious! My big dumb van (6.0 Express 3500)is getting 2 months to the tank!

Yeah, I’ve never felt good about pre-exercise stretching, it’s like pulling cold taffy. I vastly prefer to run/bike for a bit first then stretch and then maybe do some more run/bike/whatever. But stretch first, no warm up? No way.

Ohhhhh. Damn. I’ve wanted a Speed Triple ever since I first heard one. One of the things I love about motorcycles are all of the different engine sounds and the Speed Triple is just a great, different sound.

Well, now that Mitsubishi is barely around to finance cars to people that really can’t afford them, I guess someone has to fill the void.

2008? That’s cute.

This seems like a pedantic pissing contest. How different is it really from saying that a particular trim level (with no performance gain) of one car outsold a particular trim level (also with no performance gain) of a competitor? The whole Chevy vs GMC thing seems just as silly as when GM sold four different flavors

Towing a 5000lb travel trailer with my ‘05 Chevy 3500 van with the 6.0L LQ4 engine I get a very consistent 10mpg. One day I was getting gas and started chatting with a guy was pulling a similarly sized trailer with a crew cab Frontier. I was a bit envious of what kind of mileage he must be getting out of his newer

And why are all the manufacturers doing the same designs? I saw this and thought it was either a RAV4 or something from Nissan.

It’s in Houston, you have to get on a highway to get almost anywhere.
