Yep.
Seriously. This is the kind of shit that really makes me want to give up watching completely. Sadly, that’s the only real protest/vote I have.
Seriously. I LOVE this design. Give me a hybrid or some other way to get longer range and I would be all over this to replace our Chevy 3500 van.
Same problem with the Lexus IS250/300. I am forever scarred by having to sit in the back of one for a 2 hour drive. I’m only 5'-10" but couldn’t move my legs at all and after not too long the pain in one knee was excruciating. All of these small “luxury” sedans with tiny back seats make no sense to me. Luxury means…
I prefer my trunks to fit bodies without dismemberment, thank you very much. It’s too much work to constantly have to clean the carpets.
Oh, my bad. I should have been more clear, my comment wasn’t about KLASSY-iness (Very!, obviously), it was about how uselessly shaped it was. You really can’t fit that many bodies in it.
Sad, but true.. “I didn’t see them!” is the instant ‘Get out of jail free’ card for running over a cyclist. It doesn’t matter that SEEING and AVOIDING THINGS YOU SEE is a very basic goal of driving.
Our faith in cellular coverage is laughable. I was driving along the coast in northern CA a few weeks ago and couldn’t even get enough of a cell signal to stream a podcast without major buffering or outright failure. I can’t imagine this working in a lot of America.
LOL. I had a girlfriend like that a long time ago. It took me a while to get used to it because I knew I pretty rank.
Yeah, after this building up a ‘66 Mustang is positively boring.
SWOON.
I totally agree. It’s why I really dislike the current “level 4" (or whatever it is) where they want the driver to pay attention. I think it’s totally resonable to need a chaperone while autonomous vehicles are learning but don’t give me a car that can “almost” drive itself. That just makes no sense to me. Your…
When I read that they were testing in Pittsburgh I thought, “Hell Yes! Now THAT’S a tough city to navigate!” If autonomous vehicles can work around the crazy road network, incredible potholes, congestion, and people in Pittsburgh then that’s a damn good start. Obviously it will need a human -who is actually paying…
Oh, that would be fantastic!
I read that line and was like, “Damn, that was cold, Rob, Cold. (probably accurate, but cold.)“
I’m not much of a fan of drifting but I LOVE the fact that there is a venue for people to build and run ridiculous things like this. AFAIK, it’s pretty much just drifting and hillclimbs that still have fairly open rules to allow/encourage delightfully crazy builds like this.
And worse, in my opinion, he wanted to sell it to someone else who would potentially have no idea how crappy the welds were or how thin the tubing was. It sounds harsh but I’m glad that it wasn’t a new owner that was killed in it.
