I read that line and was like, “Damn, that was cold, Rob, Cold. (probably accurate, but cold.)“

I’m not much of a fan of drifting but I LOVE the fact that there is a venue for people to build and run ridiculous things like this. AFAIK, it’s pretty much just drifting and hillclimbs that still have fairly open rules to allow/encourage delightfully crazy builds like this.

And worse, in my opinion, he wanted to sell it to someone else who would potentially have no idea how crappy the welds were or how thin the tubing was. It sounds harsh but I’m glad that it wasn’t a new owner that was killed in it.

Seriously. What a stupid statement from the PD. If he had done something more radical, like stick the drivetrain in the rear, then I could understand the questioning of how this guy had a VIN from a Civic. It’s just a more extreme version of when people cut the roof off their old beater.

Ha! I just made the same image for a different response!

Yep. In just one image from the video we can see 4 welds that failed completely. (I don’t know why Kinja double posted the image, sorry)

I agree completely. If this had normal mileage and was in the 50-60,000 mile range, CP; but 7500? This really is a new car.

“And they’re better looking than the Bolt and the Leaf...”

I don’t know about the brake upgrade and wheels, but the cage & seat count as safety equipment are not counted against the $500. It’s hard to imagine there was a lot to sell off of this car. I think the $500 is a guideline that is there to keep people in the “spirit” of the rules more than anything. When Murilee

That Mini vs Mustang battle is just so delightful. Can we just have that as a race series, please?

Came here to say this. I used to work on vintage race cars and they were often some of the most fun races I’ve ever witnessed. Probably my all time favorite was Brian Redmond (yes, retired pro, ex LeMans and Formula 5000 racer, Brian Redmond) driving a Chevron B23 (2L sports-racer) going against Duncan Dayton

Please, please, please, please, please, please....

I really don’t think they’ll care if she had an abortion. They’ll attack her as a slut, attack all of it as “fake news” and a “huge ‘Deep State’ conspiracy” against their God-given leader.

Pro-tip: just don’t try it in a dually. When that heavy rear end gets moving it’s really hard to catch.

Pretty much. I’d say 90% of the actual phone calls I get are spam or scams (because almost everyone emails or txts instead). If I get a call and the number isn’t from someone already in my contacts, I let let it go to voice mail.

Hopefully he’s not wrong about that.

This is the correct answer.

When I was a kid, my grandparents always had Danish Kringle from Racine when we would visit and I was thrilled when TJ’s started to carry it. I always go for the nut varieties (pecan, almond, or walnut, all good) over the fruit ones which are a bit too sweet, even for my sweet tooth.

Definitely looking a little ruffled going through turducken.
