If you have space in your current apt, keep the boxes your dishes and appliances came in and use those when moving. Nothing will move around and break during the trip.

The whole point of boxes is to be able to stack things neatly to organize. It’s hard to neatly stack trash bags and coats stuffed with clothes.
I have no idea if this is true what with this being on the internet but...
I mean, it’s pretty rancid so you’re not wrong.
The only cancel culture I experience is from people with big platforms complaining about cancel culture.
Weird thing, because the times I have to self-censor the most is when I’m around my Catholic in-laws, and they start talking about the sanctity of life or some other thinly veiled anti-abortion nonsense, and it takes every bit of self-restraint not to point out they are relying on a moral authority whose primary…
Do you think he realizes what he's saying and hopes we don't notice or he's just that clueless?
When your numbers for priests, nuns, and parishioners are on a steady decline for the last 50 years, maybe your dogma sucks and you should change it to something, I don’t know, more welcoming?
“Perhaps it slipped his mind that the Catholic Church is arguably history’s foremost, greatest, and most ruthless colonizer.”
Pope Francis better stfu about people who have pets instead of children being selfish.
Quick, what’s at the core of the Catholic faith? If you said “the admission of our imperfection and recognition of our need for forgiveness” I wouldn’t mark you wrong. And yet the leadership of the church SUCKS at this. They completely deny any wrongdoing, consistently. The same people who used to make us say 25…
OMG the lights! My backyard neighbours put up a hockey rink in their yard every winter for their kids (hi from Canada). This year they added a flood light on their roof. Sometimes the kids forget to turn off the flood light at night and it shines into my living room. Fine, it’s only a problem from a certain angle, but…
Some people feel the cold more than others. I keep it at 66 during the day, and I wear long-underwear and wool sweaters (sometimes even a hat!) and wrap a quilt around me, and I’m still cold.
Atheists aren’t hostile towards religion. They’ve made up their mind that there is no higher power. Most of them then stay quiet about it and let other people decide what they should believe because it’s a personal choice everyone should make for themselves. The few who go out and try to “convert” others give the rest …
We’re not openly hostile, but we do get tired of the Christian bullshit after a while.
“Are you raising your children to be atheist or agnostic? Atheists are openly hostile towards religion. Agnostics just don’t believe in any god.”
I’m glad to see more and more articles related to atheists or the non-religious on this site.
Fireworks agreed.
Lol in the house I grew up in, the neighbors put up a basketball hoop -- the ones buried in cement, not free standing. And they put it up so it was on the side of the driveway that was only separated from our driveway by a tiny strip of lawn. Their basketballs put more dents in my mom’s car than I can even…
If the police are any way competent, it will not be easy to tell, particularly with regards to undercover cops.
