It’s a good game, CDPR just fucked up putting too much money in marketing and not much on testing and bug correction.
I played 140 hours of it right at launch, found some funny glitches but nothing game breaking. Had a ton of fun. Hope they’ll be wiser with the sequel.

I think that only the hardcore competitive (enough to be extra good at it) and the really non-competitive can have true fun on Mario Kart. (I’m the latter). Just like Mario party, i play for the funny moments, more than winning.

If you put a mechanic like the blue shell in your game, you’re out for blood, man. You’re not making friends.
In a way it’s kinda good that it was a game mostly played by friends in the first games. Can you imagine if Mario Kart 8 had voice chat? The fits, the hair ripping the tirades the sounds of controllers and TV…

I didn’t play until 1.6
In online gaming there will always be some unpleasant people.
But i didn’t think it became generalized and normalized until maybe mists of pandaria.
There were more positive vibes then. Now it seems even fans of the game, have mostly negative experiences.

It really depends on the day. I actually kinda admire how he’s virtually impervious to the demented following he has on twitch and takes lots of mockery in stride.
