...mayyyybe..?

I’ll second that. People warned classic players the nostalgia would wear off quickly. They sunk their heels in.

Um...i’ll be back in a few hours.

Crazy. But that prototype is so cool, though.

I’ve said it once and i’ll say it again. GI JOE is the perfect candidate for a good MMO. It’s a matter of a competent company taking on the license.
It’s got two clear factions, all types of classes to start, and then to expand the game later. It’s got vehicles, the possibility of exploring tons of travel.
Characters

Not mine, while there are problems i mostly enjoyed all new movies. Even Solo.
But you can’t ignore theres a fairly large group of people who don’t like the direction it took. Grouping “Disney’s output” is kind of a sneaky way to ignore the bad parts of the movies while riding on the laurels of other productions like

With Taika there’s always the possibility of it being extra-goofy. It’s just the way he is. However, while goofy gets tiring and can seem ouf of place in grim sci-fi and human settings, i’d imagine in a galaxy full of weird shit, goofy humor is bound to happen. It’s a mater of dosage. Hope he gets the gig and gets it

I’ve never seen a project he’s helmed that i didn’t like. Star Wars future movies need to be charming from now on to regain the fans trust

LMAO i spat my water

Such ubermensch specimen

Cool visual stuff and all, but weird tone. Not really a good trailer (which could be just that, a bad trailer.)
Hope the movie will be good.

Yes yes, very scifi-y.
When will it get cheap and small? Will you still need a 16lb PC strapped to your back or wires and IR cameras going around your whole room to do it? Will batteries last long enough to sustain that immersion? These design issues are still there.
Listen, i’m not saying VR is lame or anything like

TVs and VCRs have much more popular appeal and utility than VR headsets.
Even if they get smaller and less cumbersome. That’s an exaggerated comparison that doesn’t really stick.

TVs and VCRs got cheap really fast. VR requires not only the headset but a beefy computer or a ‘Pro’ console.

Anyway, i could be totally wrong

How many shooting simulators and 1st-person exploration games will people want? I’m not saying i don’t see the appeal of the technology. But it’s expensive, cumbersome, the games are neat at best (at this point, maybe this could be THE gamechanger).
But i’ve been playing on the PC since 95 (along with having nintendo

I understand that. This does seem like they’re willing to finally let it rip. But still, VR isn’t pleasing to a lot of people (regardless how cool it is), to some it’s too rich an investment and to me bringing back one of the most beloved franchise just for “people with spare money” is sort of stupid.
It’s like

Dead as in, the investment VR companies made (and some keep making) doesn’t justify the 3% of users installed base. They have to fix a TON of problems before it becomes largelly adopted by other fans. But since VR has other useful applications other than just gaming (military, scientific, artistic and so on) they keep

You guys like facts but you live in the american bubble where everything is possible. 450 dollars is 150% the average salary of people where i live.
VR is a niche thing, will always be because of investiment of Money/Space.

I hope it’s not. If it isn’t VR only then great! More people get to play it, instead of the sunk-cost hype victims lashing out at people who don’t dig the experience.

I think that since it’s coming from Valve, it can only be a virtual-ass-shoving thing. They pioneered digital distribution

That VR is dead AF?
