I adressed this in another comment. I like seeing components. IF they’re made to be aesthetically pleasing (like modern PC components are, for instance). But these consumer eletronics are mostly gross green PCBs and ketchup and mustard wiring. They’re not like a classy all black EVGA mobo.

The plastic is barely transparent on this one. Which helps it not look utterly disgusting

I can agree with you partially on the account that i love the looks of electronics. By that i mean electronics that are meant to be seen.
Modern PC components are a good example. Motherboards, videocards are made to be seen today and thus are good looking pieces of tech.
