This planet can't even handle us right now!

Only two things in common with Borderlands is FPS and exploration?

Open world FPS with loot is the only similar part to Borderlands? Please. How about RPG system with enemy levels and damage numbers? Or multiple player classes with rechargeable special attacks? Or the emphasis on the power of melee? Or they post apocalyptic desert setting? Or the timed refreshing vendors? Or

Played the alpha, still not sold. The controls a pretty halo, though not enough so that I can still enjoy it.

The mob respawn was really wonky. It's still alpha so obviously some things will improve, I hope that's one of them. I cleared out a group of enemies and was exploring around the area we fought in and they spawned right in my face. They could easily just say reinforcements are teleporting in or some such, but just

I was pretty underwhelmed by what I played. I was never a big Halo fan, so maybe that's part of the problem?

You take away all the superfluous things that make Borderlands feel like a real world, all the useless chests(porta potties), things to break or make sway in the environment, take Bungies terrible map design(The library) and their quirky enemy design(THE FLOOD now THE HIVE) and you put it into a huge world that is

I agree on the AI it needs a major bump in the difficulty and intelligence department. I can slightly see what your talking about with the art style for the rusty corridors and stuff but that's pretty much common in anything when your exploring something that's been abandoned for 100+ years.

I took notes as I played my Alpha. Here's how I viewed it. Keep in mind I didn't do much co-op campaign stuff because I'm pretty antisocial.

I thought the AI was pretty decent (well, the Fallen AI at least). I always thought it was silly how NPCs would always eventually "peek" out at you from their hiding place if you stopped firing at them. I haven't witnessed much of that in the alpha so far. There have even been a couple of times where I try and chase

This is a mountain made from a molehill. Video games were better when people stooped trying to inject their social commentaries into them and just enjoyed the game. Not everything is an attack on gender, race, or sexual preferences and and people are becoming overly sensitive to a point where it's almost silly.

I think people are just pissed Ubisoft has not given us Beyond Good and Evil 2, I know I am.

Am I missing why Kotaku is trying to tell me that is a huge deal? Is this really such a civil rights problem that in the kind of story that Assassin's Creed runs with in the times of history that they go through, that there isn't a major female protagonist? You don't need to shoehorn every group into something for

Potential? Potential is... Potential means, things they should have done, but didn't, and there's no indication that they're going to; you just hope they will. That potential could blow up in your face. People wanted better characterization from Samus, and what we got was a poorly translated mess with "Other M", which

1. The character shown in the trailer is not wearing Link's traditional green outfit

"Sony's booth has 69 games!" Doesn't sound as good to the press.

Does this perhaps point to Morpheus being released sooner than we thought?

Who in their right mind would go to E3 to play Minecraft? Seems to me Sony wasted booth space.

Would probably be a bit silly to splash out on a ton of English voice acting and not release westward.. ;) It also featured in previous E3 and other Western events so, yes definitely.

hoooooly crap these comments are really big on social commentary
