I'm in the same situation, got really glad with this announcement ;)

Great, I'll finally play PvsZ!! Thanks EA (it was nice of them)
It's insane, freaking insane!! Yes, it's Uncharted, it's evolution, not revolution, but damn. That scope, the animations, that FOLIAGE!!! It's beautiful! And great job with the demo Naughty Dog, such a long demo, taking a big risk playing it live, it was worth it imo.
No problem, I'm enjoying the discussion ;) It's important that we talk about this in a civilized manner. Gaming as an art form/medium is in its infancy, there's a lot to discuss and improve when it comes to the way we cover/criticize/analyze games. It's very hard to find a gamer or a gaming journalist who is…
Yeah, but those things happen in other mediums as well. It's showbiz :P I'd like games to be above that, it's ridiculous for a gamer to praise a mediocre game, but we get that all the time. At awards shows, at the press, internet forums. Hype is intrinsic to the medium, we're all a little bit biased.
The large scope of their empty world (I know, I know, it's a work in progress). The scope of the world doesn't make a game, and it's not a novelty as Nintendo thinks it is (maybe for them, not for the industry)
Never played the original, but I liked this trailer, very charming. It's probably my favorite from the show.
Looks good, nothing amazing (the world is large though), but this was such a poor world premiere. Maybe Nintendo fans loved it, but it was not very exciting.
Yeah, I know ;) Just found it funny.
What's the problem with using "gaming terms" at a gaming environment? And yes, I admit that sometimes he falls a little in the dude bro territory, but there's nothing wrong with building hype around video games. I like that, for me that's one thing that video games have that's better than other mediums, the hype and…
Nintendo: "Every time we launch a new game, we want to bring something new, something different, and that's what we did with Mario Kart 8"...EIGHT...I bet the game is good, but still, it's a bit of an irony.
Yes, but it was cool
I didn't mean why he does it in "what's his intention" (sorry for the confusion), I was asking you why you say that, or how he perpetuates the stereotype and what stereotype are you referring to?
Great looking game! I'll definitely keep an eye out for this one, just hope they can make it something more than a pretty game.
Why does he perpetuate the stereotype?
I don't care if many hate him, Geoff Keighley loves video games and he's doing one hell of a job promoting the art form!
Only today did I learn that an announcement from David Jaffe's new game is expected at PS experience...Hype is through the roof! It should be quite a fun weekend for gamers.
I can only speak for TWD, have you played it? Because yes, the universe is already established for them, but the story is their own and it's great, way better than the TV who
Oh, I haven't noticed that, is it the only factor?
Ups, sorry, Yeah, I know the difference between UEFA and FIFA, my mistake ;)
