I agree completely. I worked for a tech company for a long time that is at the head of it's field. They're corporate products, not games, but the principle is the same. They respected the culture of their acquisitions and it makes them so much stronger.

Seconded. I volunteered at an animal shelter and some of the other vols were truly emotionally ill. They played out their emotional issues using the animals as substitutes for their wounded child-selves. They went way beyond "trying to find the animal a decent home."
