A veteran of the Korean War (who is now deceased, but was was a friend of the family) told me about how during his service that on more than one occasion he witnessed massive flying-wing type aircraft taking off silently and vertically from forest clearings.

Clothing doesn't usually have internal components. Concept cars are not just about the exteriors.

They're performing mannequins. They show how the clothing moves.

In 20 years, if anyone has any sense, clothing for each day will be generated and recycled from the same base materials in the person's home. No need for washing, no need for large closets, no need to go shopping unless you want something handmade. The wearer chooses customised clothing, with a nearly unlimited

Ah, but what is shown at fashion shows is indeed the designer's vision. It's not planned to be disassembled and disseminated, but it is nevertheless.

The difference with cars is that the fried crap is less obvious. New anti-lock braking system, new infotainment system, revolutionary windshield wipers...you get the idea. Even the body you see on a concept car gets scaled back. you'll see some of the same contours, but less Hot Wheels-esque.

The point of insane couture is to present multiple features and designs in a compressed format, much like a concept car at an auto show. The concept car might have all these crazy new features, but maybe just the new drive train actually makes it into the production models.

I'm a fan of Damon's collaboration with Michael Nyman on the Ravenous Soundtrack. Although it is instrumental, it gives another perspective on Albarn's sensibilities as an artist outside of pop music.

More than one is a multiple, right? I understand thinkers are needed, but this guy developed consumer products which are treated as status symbols. in the grand scheme of things, they're garbage. How many actually get recycled? How many people have been mugged or even killed for their iPhone or iPod? It's ridiculous

This video just re-illustrated the attitude of everything Apple - looking down their noses through their glasses at the rest of humanity with all the self-righteous pomposity of their beloved turtlenecked priest-god. "Everything we do or have is better than anything you do or have, and you don't matter unless you

Is it really necessary that another one be made so soon? Let's wait another 20 years to let the Church of Apple to have a few scandals with finances or philandering and then make a movie. Why not give someone else a full Hollywood biopic - how about Edison, Tesla, Newton, Da Vinci, or Archimedes?

The yogurt facility probably uses tons of ammonia in its refrigeration system. If there was ever a leak, try not to be downwind.

You can thank the Federal Government.

Everything old is new again, thanks to Reddit Reposts.

tl;dr? This is a terrible idea - like toothpaste-flavored ice cream - it looks nice, but the outcome is awful.

If this is near the galactic center, couldn't this be a cluster of solar systems being torn apart by the Supermassive Gravatar ("black hole") at the core, or better yet, a gravitar being destroyed by the SMG?

Twitter is full of knee-jerk statements. It really should have been called "Blurter" for all the good it does. Twitter has no bologna filter, so in reality, you need a solid couple of days of retrospect and real research and journalism in order to arrive at any realistic facts and conclusions.
