The cynic in me says that the idea isn’t to prevent the crime, just to punish you once you’ve committed it, there’s more money in punishment than prevention.

“See! I’m just training like a champion!”

Or he’s such a commercial whore he can’t help throwing in his endorsements whenever possible. He’s hardly shy and retiring given he and his fivehead show up on my TV screen every 15 minutes on the dot.

86 to signify the car and its relation to the original, sideways pistons to represent the boxer engine.

I would have liked GT86 better, especially if they keep those “86 piston” logos on the fenders.

Finger is on the trigger. That man should not be allowed in decent society.

Your roommate hates suspension components and I hate him

Or that you had a taillight out, or that you had on a license plate frame in a state where it was illegal. Or about a million other reasons an officer can make up to pull you over.

Arizona and my state of New Mexico — and maybe other states? — currently don’t even require .08 BAC for conviction, only impairment “to the slightest degree” by alcohol. To my knowledge, at least in NM, this section of the law is rarely used because of the difficulty of proof and because most arrested drivers test

Also, MADD is often the accrediting agency for court mandated DUI rehabilitation programs and traffic school. They as an organization profit directly from DUIs. Lower BAC limit=more DUIs=more $ for MADD.

Exactly. Some people are assholes who get shitfaced and get behind the wheel of a car and kill people. So nobody should be able to go eat dinner and drive themselves home.

Well, that’s not the only thing this would do.

If it makes you feel better, this law doesn’t apply to us

Drunk,

When are people going to recognize MADD for what it is a modern day temperance movement. I’m no advocate for driving drunk, but this just an effort to shut down bars for responsible people.

It’s a cash grab.

You’re both wrong. Burton Batmobile is best Batmobile.

The idea of ‘well if you don’t have anything to hide, it’s fine’ is a slippery slope that humanity has not done well with following in the past.

If you have enough cameras checking for “stolen cars” you can basically follow people around and record all there movements.

License plate/red light/speed cameras should be mounted in plain view with signs identifying them.
