the pounds (not dollars) are budgeted to the BBC yearly. They can make Top Gear with it or do some documentary with it. It's not like there is tax money in the country's budget exclusively for Top Gear.

disagree. batman begins stands out as a great batman movie (probably the best). from there they could have introduced a larger DC universe. The Dark Knight was also great but strayed a little too far into real world crime drama.
