Agreed that NFL rookies may not be fully ready their first year, certainly there’s an adjustment period, but I don’t think NFL drafts take years to grow into their roles like NBA players do.

That’s a big problem with the NBA draft, and the NBA in general. These kids come in barely 19 years old, and hardly any of them are ready to play, let alone move the needle on their teams by any appreciable degree.
