Not accepting that one. Bulma's ego was large enough that if that were going to happen Goku wouldn't be able to stop her. The issue isn't her intelligence or her ego though, it's her ambition. Even in the very beginning her goal was a super cute boyfriend. She wasn't after future domination. Just a guy.
