I won't claim that it's brainless pap, just that it's far to similar to 80's madonna and abba, for me to feel interested in listening to it. Her most blatant violations in that are alejandro (sounds exactly like an abba song) and born like this(I think that's the title), which sounds like madonna's express yourself.

In a completely related thing there's an add-on for firefox that is perfect for just this occasion. It's called rikaichan. Tells you what the kanji is, how to pronounce it(via hiragana) and other neat thingys.
