I’ve caught heat from Depp worshippers for saying that they both seem like shite people. Abuse is bad, nobody should be abusive, and they both seem abusive. Even if you want to argue that Heard is also abusive, that doesn't absolve him of being a shithead as well.

Seriously. Even if she did abuse him (I don’t know that it didn’t happen, but as you say no one’s proven it yet like they’ve proven his abuse), I don’t know why genuine advocates for male victims of domestic violence would make this idiot their hill to die on. He’s had substance abuse and rage problems for almost his

I remember reading an interview with him when The Rum Diaries was coming out, talking about how much he idolized Hunter S. Thompson as if that were anything but a massive red flag. Most people eventually grow out of the culture that glorifies overconsumption of booze and drugs; Depp clearly never did.

I like when his stans (in response to my comment about how this case was essentially decided already in the UK and I’m unsure why he chose to re-litigate this here except maybe to bully her into submission with litigation a la t***p) ask “are YOU watching the trial?” LOL fuck no, why would I do that to myself when a

They abused each other. This is established. Depp is trying to prove that he didn’t abuse her ergo it’s defamation that she would imply he did.

“I’ve lost everything. No matter the outcome of this trial, I’ve already lost. I lost when these allegations were made cause they will stay with me forever. My life is ruined forever,” he said during testimony.

I’ve not been the biggest fan of Kate throughout the series, so I find it strange that now that she’s finally a character with clear motivations and pathologies, she’s seemingly getting more hate than ever.

From a purely pragmatic standpoint, Kevin has lived with Kate for weeks if not months, and has spent far more time with Jack than Randall for the last year. He would know this information more readily.

I said to my wife at one point “how did they get such an amazing performance out of a 2 year old?!?!”

I think you and Toby are dead wrong in this instance. Disability activists emphasize exactly what Kate is teaching Jack which is how to live with his disability and not be caged by it.

That kid is an amazing actor! And so gosh darn cute!

It wasn’t mentioned here, but it seemed like Toby was bashing the Big Three’s relationship when he made a comment about how this was how it was always supposed to be, when the three of them were standing together.

Or Baked Oats. Which comes out like a super dense and sweet quick bread.

That little round hair patch on old Toby is giving me nightmares...

“Single, Drunk, Female” is one of the few shows I make sure to keep up with.  Felicia is the best ride-or-die friend anyone could ask for and I really want to hang out on a playground tripping balls on shrooms with her.

We know they’re headed for a breakup. Mrs. F. and I thought the show was doing Toby dirty. But his “solution” delivered after their heartfelt and wrenching discussion was not cool. He wants it all and thinks the best solution is for Kate to subjugate herself. They’re in a difficult spot and his ultimatum did not help.

Toby and Kate’s discussion at the end was wonderfully written and acted. Metz was on top of her game for this one.

Seriously. The author is either really politically naive or really disingenuous. Any time a governor or head of state vetoes a bill that was put forward by their own party, they’re going to put the emphasis on the procedural or financial reasons for the veto, rather than the substance. It’s called damage control.

I largely agree that this is a blameless situation between Toby and Kate; they are simply growing apart. Yet, there were some anachronisms in San Francisco. Toby has repeatedly complained that he is living out of a suitcase, but he seems to have a really nice apartment with a great view and a decently stocked closet.

I don’t know whether the writers/directors intended this, but that apartment really kills Toby’s argument about the money driving his decision. Housing prices in San Francisco are some of the highest in the world; that apartment is really big for a guy living by himself and only being home four nights a week, and
