You can’t just take the Soda Stream cannisters and have them re-filled. They have a proprietary valve or something and vendors aren’t allowed (supposed) to refill them. Worse, even other commercial carbonators mostly use the SS cannisters, so even if one does not buy a SS, one is often tied to the SS ecosystem…
