A tad late for the party but wanted to congratulate you the best way I could:

Wouldn’t be a beater of a Porsche without a broomstick holding open the frunk!

WORLDSTAHHHHHHH!!!

There was a slight bit of sarcasm on that last statement as I’m well aware of Austin’s trendy restaurant scene. But thanks for looking into whether or not the squid is welcome!

Well if my plans fall thru on Saturday night, I’ll be there with a rowdy kindergartner in-tow.

I went last year and paid $120 for me and the squid in the “end zone” seats.

Well the thought of bring a giant pair of rain boots halfway around the world in a tiny suitcase didn’t sit well with me. These chugly (chic/ugly) booties fold flat and was able to carry them in my backpack during the race.

Heh, I think I bought the entire snack section at Carrefour the day before the race thinking every food stand would be overrun with drunk Brits.

I went to LeMans 2018 as my first endurance race (go big or go home, I say), and while you covered most of the necessary items, I would recommend a pair of waterproof shoe covers.

How do you say “What’s the frequency, Kenneth” in Georgian?

So I guess the only question we should be asking is which BBQ/taco joint to host the Jalop/Oppo meet and greet.

Right?! I’m lucky to have a local place that rents out these lenses at a very competitive price. But I may take the plunge on this particular one as it has incredible versatility.

FWIW, that crowd was actually pretty chill. Then again, I don’t have over $10k worth of camera equipment around my neck.

Fantastic pics, Kurt! Better than my T5 with a Tamron 18-300 for sure.

Funny you should talk about the 912 bucket with a 911 engine, as there’s a guy who did just that. He put a 3.2L with PMO carbs in a ‘66 and that thing is a screamer!

Essentially, yes. They shared the same body from 65-68, then 69-73. They stopped making the 912 in 69 to introduce the 914.

Now playing

I was just starting my graphic design courses in college when I saw Dead Man on Campus. It’s the only time I’ve laughed more at the opening credits than the entire movie.

Came for Patrick to show me all its features and quirks.

I’ll be on the red tour tearing it up with you next year, Paul.

For context, the registration time gets shorter and shorter every year. Last time I attended in 2015, it sold out in a little over a day. This year, it sold out in 40 minutes!
