I think they’ve addressed that issue in the design. Besides, if you can afford a driver to open the door and hold the umbrella then he can dry it off when you get back home.

Needs more light bars for the bro, er brah, nevermind.
Glad I’m not the only one who recognizes the insane markup on Ethan Allen products.
Because the writing on FA is better than anything that’s been posted on jalopnik in years. FA needs to move mainstream and no longer new a sub-blog. The posts are frequent enough, and jalop post quality has been declining for a while now.
The profile of the corvette C3 stingray.
No surprise that CUE pulled Cadillac down the list. It’s pretty much crap.
Back when I had to commute across Houston for work, I would see these trucks set up at on-ramps along both I-10 and US290. Never knew exactly what they were for, but assumed something similar to this. Guess they prefer to scan right where you are under hardest acceleration.
My dad bought a new Chevy conversion van (by Exella) back in 1989. He daily drove a ‘74 VW beetle, but with us three kids plus mom, the van was our necessary family vehicle. It was full conversion with TV/VCR, captain chairs, and electric reclining couch. My grandparents even used it to take us all camping in Colorado…
CP. Would rather have a bustle-back Seville than one of these p.o.s. Always hated the bback, but it’s starting to grow on me lately.
And exactly how spirited was you’re driving? Nobody says you can’t get great fuel economy with ecoboost. But you don’t get that great when you drive a mustang like it was meant to be driven. That’s where the false sense comes into play with this great marketing ploy.
Exactly, my younger brother bought the F150 ecoboost to tow his wakeboard boat with. Saying he would get the v6 economy with the newfound ecoboost torque. Said it would tow “way better” than his Tahoe. Well, he makes just as many stops at the gas pump as before. Furthermore if he would have gotten rid of the lame-ass…
Agree that it’s brilliant marketing. But it is also a big scam... As any spirited driving that utilizes the benefits of the boost part, automatically negates the benefits of the eco part.
Because your comment was poorly worded for what you were trying to convey.
My mom has a Passat TDI, she came to visit for a week so I drove it a couple of times. I agree there is a minimal “fun” factor, but I was happy to give her back the key.
F-150 release party hosted where they assemble the Tundra. LOL.
This has been a common refrain for a few years now, as each luxury import continues to come out with a fancy new headlamp or turn signal design. However, I’m more in favor of overhauling our archaic tax code before we tackle the litany of nonsensical laws we have on the books.
Agreed. Astro vans are excellent tow vehicles. Very often overlooked.
I’m almost certain this exact same post was on this blog, (or other gawker blog) within the past six months. ??
I drove an SRX loaner the last time my V was in for service. It was horrible. Shitty seats, anemic engine that sounded like a thrashing machine, and don’t even get me started on the crap CUE infotainment system.
The second generation, based on the GMT900 platform, was actually a fairly slick looking rig Since they finally dropped that horrendous cladding. Also it could be had with the 6-speed trans. I wouldn’t mind picking one up used, in the escalade trim.
