Having electronic devices be status symbols is fucking bullshit. These are tools, not jewelry.

$150 a pair AND the batteries cannot be replaced and start to fail after 18 months of normal use.
The only reason Apple could claim that was because not enough people used Macs to make it worthwhile to make viruses targeting them, the second their sales numbers went up enough... boom... people makin’ viruses for them.
“I’m a Mac. My tablets have no headphone jack and no USB ports which makes me .003 ounces lighter and .0007 inches thinner than the average PC tablet. Also having no buttons makes them more intuitive somehow.”
There was a huge mac bias when studying - it’s what was in the labs, it was what we were told to work on outside of class, etc. The thing is, closed systems suck. Give me the ability to tailor my set-up to what I want and to be able to swap things in and out without hiccups any day.
All the kids with their bippin’ and their boppin’
At least I didn’t have to take out a mortgage to buy my PC.
Even as a designer, I have to say: fuck macs
Mac users are people who fancy themselves plugged in and tech savvy, but whenever i see that stupid glowing apple I just know they spent way more on shit that does a worse job than any of my computers.
I never understood why Apple was so against a 2 button mouse. I know you can get third party ones but I never understood why they didn’t make an official one.
Yeah, I think they’re breaking it up into separate entities. The proprietary nature of Apple products in general is what keeps me away from buying any of them. I don’t like being told EXACTLY what I have to use when it comes to consumer hardware and software like this.
Well, if we’re being pedantic (and since we’re discussing personal computers, of course we are), MacOS is really Unix with fancy wallpaper as its kernel is descended from the same one that the BSDs run.
I’m genuinely shocked no one responsible for iTunes has been shot, arrested, or been inducted into the Trump administration at this point.
That’s because the Road Runner symbolises retirement... something that people born after around 1975 will be chasing for the rest of our lives, but never ever reach.
I dressed that way in the 90s back when it was called “looking shitty” and “being poor”.
“Friends don’t let friends drive Macs.”
That’s the whole point. Most people DON’T think that hipsters are cool. We mock them for claiming to be individuals, while being as carbon copy of each other as a basic training military squad is. Kinda like the Goths.
“I come with iTunes and you'll hate every minute of it"
I never get viruses
I genuinely enjoyed him in Live Free or Die Hard. My tastes are miles away from everyone else though...
