Buddy of mine at work picked it up and tried delving into it as a solo player. He’s complaining that it is at best a regrettable purchase and has since stormed off from his computer too frustrated to play after being griefed by multiple groups of players who worked together expressly to grief him as a solo player.

I’ve played the game a lot and I think maybe once there was a player who really was interested in bugging us. I ended up sinking them later in the night just before I got off so it ended up being a nice end to the evening.

Agreed, people take weird stances when it comes to franchises like this.

The ending of Super literally shows Vegeta hanging out with his wife.

Nerf Now pretty much sums up my experience with Sea of Thieves, its fun with friends but once you get over the newness of the game its rather shallow.

Remember that the tournament turned out to just be a big old test anyway. Zeno would have erased all the universes on a selfish wish. So in retrospect the GP not mentioning 17 was still in the game was just them holding their cards close to their chest to see what would happen.

I was watching a show where to so called “finale” had no real dramatic stakes and the protagonist didn’t even care he was the cause of quadrillion if not quintillions of people being wiped from existence all in the name of his quest to find and fight someone super strong. What were YOU watching?

I find that ending made the entire arc pointless.

Especially considering Bulma can buy/give him a boat (which she did), or can give him the regular Dragon Balls to wish for one.

Yeah that was a really nice touch. I mean we all knew what the wish was going to be but no way that it would be from 17. That said 18's reaction threw me really off. You’re really all concern about him blowing off a world round trip with his family for instead SAVING SEVEN COMPLETE UNIVERSES?! Priorities, check

I found that an incredibly boring end to an overly long arc. Was hoping they might upset the status quo somehow but nope. I mean sure the brought Freiza back but this is like 3rd time that happened so I somehow can’t care.

Android 17 MVP.

1: All games, hell all media is inherently political. The question just becomes how blatant it is and how much it reinforces or deviates from the status quo.

God, I hate to ask this, but I have to know: how good is the random character creator at spawning decent non-white characters?

Seriously, that’s how that works? Christ, might as well bring back THAC0 while they’re at it.

You compare D&D to an MMO???
BAH! BLASPHEMY! Oh wait... are you talking about 4th edition? Cause then you are right. That is exactly why 4th edition flopped so badly. People don’t typically want flat video game mechanics in their table top.

The only thing I can imagine is that Paizo is worried that 5e will make the Pathfinder product increasingly marginal moving forward. D&D 4e was incredibly divisive, and the primary motivating force behind Pathfinder, but 5e is seen by many as a “righting of the ship,” so I can definitely see how Paizo might look at

and now, to check the queue for a bunch of throwbacks from the edition wars bitching about pathfinder as being too complex.

Yup. Found them. Listen guys, it’s over. Just play the game you want to play. If you want D&D 5th, play it. If you want Pathfinder, play that. If you want Numenera, or WoD, or Shadowrun, or

Because it is very easy to power game Pathfinder...

Importantly, it wasn’t beyond their ability — just unfamiliar.
