Monster Hunter has now taken over for my “grind for loot” game. I don’t see myself ever going back to Destiny 2. Too little too late Destiny devs.

I’ve been here long enough that the weirdest part of that picture is that there’s a foreigner in it.

It’s less an out-of-the-blue surprise rather more an inevitable step forward. And uniform-swapping is not unprecedented in Japan.

Wow, given enough time, this won’t be weird:

Damn, that’s like SUPER progressive for Japan.

You are right, these are typical teenage things. The only problem is you have a multi-billion dollar company enabling him, which allows him to take the typical teenage jackassery to a whole new level. We aren’t teaching our kids good moral values this way, we are teaching them that paper money is king.

Ignoring Pewdiepie didn’t stop him from making racist jokes. Being called out and putting it in public did.

My only gripe is that the game isn’t region locked and I really don’t want to hear BRs and other non English speaking players curse at me or the team(which you can understand those parts if you’ve been online long enough) and can’t communicate with them because they don’t understand English and you don’t understand

Honestly, you don’t even need to get into any sort of minority or gender-based aspects to see why this is an idea people wouldn’t like. While the aforementioned get it much more often and far worse, open voice chats are still an awful experience even for straight white men. There are too many people who just get

I play enough CSGO to know that voice chat just leaves you ripe for harassment. HoTS has always been my “unwinding” game, so I guess I’ll just be muting voice chat ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What competitive game with voice chat has ever policed itself?

Right. Which is basically what I said : “An asshole will find a reason to be an asshole.” People will troll pick murky, nova, heroes that make no sense or are terrible... or just straight up AFK without saying anything...

HOTS is great, I think. Yes, there are douchebags. Just report them. The game has much improved since a year ago. Come back!

I’ve been playing HOTS since the beta.

The same exact thing can be said about text chat - If your team is toxic and you mute their text chat, then you are at a disadvantage of sorts, I really don’t see the difference. I rarely get toxicity while playing HotS (unlike LoL where I would get toxicity nearly in every match) - And the new voice chat feature is

Just a note, Overwatch was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms on May 24, 2016.

To be honest, voice chat isn’t my biggest worry at the moment; the toxic behaviour reporting system, however, seems to be utterly broken. Voice chat’s going to make things worse IMO, but it’s a symptom rather than the real issue.

Yeah, until there is a way to enforce community standards fairly, accurately, and consistently we’re always going to have problems like these online games. The lack of any real consequences for terrible behavior has made these types of games breeding grounds for the worst gaming has to offer.

Unsure my feings about it. On one hand, it could police itself...on the other hand it could be an utter disaster. I suppose the only way to see is to roll it out for a few months and see what happens. Ill mute any douche but I agree with FerociouslySteph that the potential harasser doesn’t really experience negative

I get why people want voice chat espeically if you play with friends and on a team. But I also get why some people don’t want it. Blizzard already does a shit job policing the chat it has now in the game, how the fuck are they going to handle voice chat if they can’t even take care of the one they currently have?
