You do have to pay separately for the full blown iOS app (worth it, IMHO) but the free app works fine for just capturing transactions when you're out and about.

It's a neat idea, but I'm not comfortable providing my iTunes credentials to them. I didn't mind the Facebook open auth or whatever, but bailed on registration when they wanted my appleid login.

@matfam: Congratulations on your progress so far! Also, besides the inability to go 'cold turkey' w/regards to food, when you're trying to eat healthy you really notice how many social activities revolve around food/eating. Not to mention the constant barrage of advertising for fast/convenience foods.

@dagwud: yeah appbrain is much nicer to sift through. Even the appbrain app comments, if there are any, are more informative and less spammy than the market comments.
@TheFu: One of the commenters on the linked page brought up the possibility that it was spam coming from a compromised PC, but the email was shilling for that guy's business, so he was confident that it was sent by him intentionally.
