@CraftyBroad: She sounds more to me like someone who is deeply depressed, which happens to women after they have children, sometimes.

@doit2julia: this was my first thought, too!!

@CatGaffney: I coveted this dollhouse like nothing else. My inner 7-year-old is so envious, she's unable to speak.

@EmilyBat: My mom resisted for years, saying that they were crap, and let's bake for real! (which we did). When she finally caved, and I admitted that she was right that it was lame, she said that made the $40 they spent on the thing well worth it.

@ohbutmeow: That was my FAVORITE TOY up until age 6 or so. My mom thought it was cute and fun, too. Quoth she: "I'm a feminist and I had a dollhouse. One has no bearing on the other."

I have no idea what my grandmothers were up to in the bedroom, but there are a lot of feisty women in my family tree:

@la.donna.pietra: ha! My dad was born 9 months after my grandpa came home from WWII. As my grandma once put it, she and my grandpa "didn't know which way to run!!" I always loved that.

@LazyHippo: That's what I was contemplating. I'm also hoping against hope for Obama to do a line-item veto when he signs this, and getting rid of the Hyde provisions when it's too late for the anti-choicers to do much of anything.

I had similarly awful cramps. Sometimes they were so awful I'd have to leave school "sick." When I was 19, after a frightening incident when a combo of cramps, fever (as was common), and disorientation almost led to more serious injuries, I saw a doc and got on the pill, and now my period has gone from major problem

@SomeAuthorGirl: I'm marrying a one-night stand next September. He turned out to be a terrific guy. (Unlike some dudes I waited to sleep with who turned out to be jerks).

@JustinVarro: Yes!! I found that out the hard way, years ago. I'm never going near astroglide again.

@hortense: it varies state to state, but they may be unable to do that because of his age. Infancy (i.e., being under 18, or the age of majority) prevents prosecution for even the most heinous crimes, and these are pretty damn heinous.

I'm too angry to be clear-headed. In my rage, I feel like the best thing to do is to track down the rapists, chop off their heads and their dicks, shove the dick in their mouth, and display the heads on a spike for all to see with a sign that says, "This is what happens to rapists." Brutal and baroque, sure. But it

Is she taking over the role of Velma in Chicago?

Christina leaving Ugly Betty? Noooo!
